THE RESORT

An Architectural Gem in a Natural Wonder

Three key elements shape the design of InterContinental Khao Yai Resort – the creative genius of architect Bill Bensley, the lush tropical paradise landscape of lakes and trees we call home, and the natural wonders of the Khao Yai mountain landscape beyond.

KHAO YAI

Khao Yai was Thailand’s first national park, and it is part of one of South East Asia’s largest UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is a world of wild elephants and tigers, blossoming tropical wildflowers and rare yellow dragon fruit. It is a destination which has been revered by royalty, dating to the ancient Khmer and Siamese empires.

THE INTERCONTINENTAL KHAO YAI EXPERIENCE

InterContinental Khao Yai Resort is blessed with a natural setting unlike any other – the lush tropical landscape of numerous lakes and abundant trees, set on the edge of a national park. We are also proudly a Khao Yai family resort, and with trekking and wildlife tours, bicycles and swimming, shopping and vineyards, historic tours and world-class golf courses – there is no shortage of fulfilling ways to explore.

Bill Bensley Design

Bill Bensley is an ambassador of craftsmanship – a world-famous architect and landscape designer, who has made an important mark on the Asian landscape. His source of inspiration for InterContinental Khao Yai Resort was the region’s history as the gateway to Thailand’s north-east, and the early days of rail transportation, first-established during the reign of King Rama V.
