KHAO YAI

“Khao Yai National Park is a national treasure and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The surrounding region is incredibly diverse and offers no shortage of opportunities for discovery.”
The area is perfect for those who enjoy natural landscapes, tropical waterfalls and encounters with wildlife. It is also an ideal location to relax, with long countryside drives and abundant farm fresh produce and food, art galleries and spas, and a number of world-class golf courses and hillside vineyards. The region has a wild and exciting side too – with extensive bicycle trails, jungle trekking and adrenaline-fueled activities leading the list of Khao Yai attractions.
The Perfect day

Morning

Enjoy a breakfast of international standards and home style Thai cuisine at Somying’s Kitchen. Chat with our chef and learn about the farm-to-table fresh local Khao Yai produce used in every meal. Savour an afternoon tea in the Tea Carriage; an upcycled traincar café overlooking the lake. Walk along the shore and feed the swans and fish.

Afternoon

Set out to explore some of Khao Yai’s wonders. Take a short hike from the park’s main visitor centre to Kong Kaew waterfall, through natural forests full of seasonal flowers and exotic birds. Even spot a rare gibbon, near the falls. On the way to a vineyard tour and wine-tasting, get derailed by wild elephants walking in the road. Spend the last of your afternoon on a Khao Yai art tour; visiting galleries and shopping for local Thai silk.

Evening

Relax with a massage at the spa before dinner, then venture to Poirot for a la carte specials of French cuisine. Then move from one upcycled train carriage to its neighbour, for cocktails at Papillon Bar. Enjoy house specialties and Champagne while listening to a live jazz band.
